Elder Perry

Hey there mi familia Comoros estas. Well things are still going good. Elder Perry last Saturday was really great! We all thought that he was going to talk about the whole twenty lessons thing or at least missionary work seeing as how he is the apostle over missionary work, but he was like cracking jokes and stuff. Then he spoke on the priesthood and the restoration. It was an awesome experience. We got to shake his hand, so that was cool. He is a big man, it was like shaking a bear paw, but like really soft. But after our mtg he met with the stake presidencies and bishops and WMLs and talked alot about twenty lessons, so our wards are really trying to get the ball rolling with that so that's awesome.

Well about Grand Junction, I was in the fifth ward so not the same stake as ninth ward so ya.

That's way cool about Lucy and her friend, he sounds fun.

Well hey I got to get runnin but I sure do love you guys have a good week :)

Still cruising along.

Hello there family. Welp things are still cruising out here me and Elder Hawker are still getting along really well so that always makes time fly. Our baptism on Saturday went really well. But kinda funny on Sunday when she was confirmed, our bishop forgot to sustain her as a member in the ward. So ya I guess maybe we will do it next Sunday. So this Saturday is Elder Perry, so the whole mission is really excited about that. Boy I'm sure glad I got transferred when I did because if I would have stayed in Rangely I would have totally missed out. I feel bad for the missionaries out west. So that's cool that the fam likes Josh and everything went well with that. Oh hey so do you guys know an Elder Reed that served there but is home now I believe? Well I met his parents at the baptism they said he asked them if they new me when he was serving there but they said he was good friends with you guys so ya kinda cool.

Well that's all I got for ya this week hope all is well love you all have a wonderful week!

Hey there pops thanks for the email, I just sent off an email to the family one but realized I forgot to say I got the valentines day package so ya tell mom thanks for that and the Reeses were a good call :)

Well things are good here. So I pretty much don't know what my plans are for school after the mish, it seems like lots of elders are talking about that. I think I might have it down to two options, either BYU Idaho or UVU. Lots of elders either have or will be going to UVU but there are people trying to sway me both ways but I don't know, so just thought I'd see what your thoughts are on this topic. Well dad thanks for everything I couldn't ask for a better father. I love you pops.

Hey there family so ya things are still going good. That should be fun to have Lucy and Josh over, you will have to let me know how that goes.

Well Friday night was like the worst night of my life, I got sick and was throwing up and all that. My stomach was in so much pain I couldn't sleep, it was miserable, so I was in bed for a few days so that was no fun but I did get a lot of scripture reading so that's good. Well sorry this is way short but today is crazy we have so many things that need to get done. We do have a UBC (unbaptized child) that is getting baptized on Saturday so we are doing her interview tonight and another on date for the sixth so ya pretty cool. Well love you guys, have a fun weekend!

East Denver

Well, I’m back in the metro area now, I’m east of Denver, I’ve never served on this side of Denver so it’s all different for me. I cover two wards here and I’m serving with Elder Hawker from San Jose CA. He is a way cool guy, we get along great. We both have the same interests and personality; it’s awesome when you get someone like that. I would totally hang out with him if we were back home kinda thing so this transfer is going to be good. My new area is pretty rich. There are so many houses for like miles and miles, its crazy and there are all like brand new and way big, it’s crazy. And! There are like tons of restaurants here as well! And places to shop lol its awesome! Totally different from Rangely, I’ve eaten at Chipotle and Chik-fil-a, have you eaten at either of those places? They’re pretty big over here but ya it was nice.

Well here at church on Sunday was nice, lots of people at both wards and they are very young wards and lots of youth. One ward, the Smokey Hill ward, is pretty fired up about missionary work but the other, Parkview, is kinda dead. It was weird. Like on Sunday nobody in Parkview even noticed there was a new missionary or just didn’t really care. Its weird cuz like I think in Rangely they are more appreciative of missionaries cuz they come and go there very often so they feel blessed when they are there but like in Parkview they just kinda take advantage of it, it’s weird.

Well let’s see, things are good, sorry this is kinda short but ya, oh so dad we go to the temple the first Wednesday of every month soo....today lol well I will be here for the March temple trip too so whatever day that is and we usually go to like the 7:30 session or so. Well I love you all. I know the Lords hand is in the work and blesses us all daily, have good week!
